Sahara Dance: Fifth Annual Showcase



Washington's own Sahara Dance will present their fifth annual student showcase:
  • Raqs Caravan East and West
  • Intermediate Repertoire class
  • Introduction to Tribal class
  • soloists
Highlighting student soloists and new student ensemble pieces, this will be an evening of belly dance variety and fun. Two shows at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Note: Doors will open one half hour before each show. Seating is limited.

Wael Farouk

Wael Farouk is the first Egyptian to ever play the Rachmaninoff's Third Concerto at a debut in Egypt in 2002 and Russia in 2003. He studied on a Fulbright Scholarship at Catholic University under the late Marilyn Neeley, 2002-3, then enrolled in an M.A. program at Converse College, 2004-6. Last year, he played at the Cairo Opera House.
