Washington Theatre Group presents DIRT written by Robert Schneider (translated from German into English by Dr. Paul Dvorak).

Directed by Dr. David Levin, this play about prejudice and anti-foreign sentiment stars Shahin Shakibi.

Soheil Nasseri


Born to Persian parents in Santa Monica, California, Soheil Nasseri began studying the piano at the age of five and at the age of twenty moved to New York to study intensively with the late Karl Ulrich Schnabel (1909–2001). Following the death of Mr. Schnabel, Mr. Nasseri became a protégé of Jerome Lowenthal who remains Mr. Nasseri’s mentor today. Other significant teachers include Irina Edelman, Anna Balakerskaia, Clinton Adams, Eva Pierrou, and Ann Schein.

Soheil Nasseri's program at the Kennedy Center includes the Washington premiere of Kaikhosru Sorabji's Sonata No. 0.

Variety: Kennedy Center Arab World Festival 2009

Today, the Kennedy Center begins its Japan Festival entitled Japan: Culture and Hyperculture, running February 5-17, reported Variety Magazine.

The Hollywood rag also mentioned next year's upcoming Arab World Festival will celebrate cultures of countries throughout the Middle East.
