Come see and hear this first-ever duet of Ayman Fanous and Susan Alcorn with improvised music for guitar, bouzouki, prepared guitar, and pedal steel guitar.
Ayman Fanous synthesizes classical and flamenco guitar techniques with contemporary improvisation: Derek Bailey meets Paco de Lucia, plus ancestral Egyptian bouzouki.
Susan Alcorn is a Baltimore-based composer-musician and innovator of pedal steel guitar with combinations of country-western, free jazz, avant-garde classical, Indian ragas, indigenous, and other world music.
